Dayton Area Advocacy Update – April

Bob JonesGeneral News, government affairs

The Dayton Area Board of REALTORS® does much more than simply provide MLS and technology solutions for members. We are also member and consumer advocates for housing issues in the Dayton area. We regularly meet with city leaders, township trustees, and other government officials to discuss home ownership opportunities, counsel them on property issues, and support their pro-housing initiatives.

Here’s a look at what’s coming up soon:

  • Our annual DARPAC (Dayton Area REALTORS® Political Action Committee) auction arrives on May 3 at a new venue this year – the Packard Museum! With the Kentucky Derby right around the corner, we’re expecting to see some bright colors, big hats, and flowery dresses on the attendees, plus some of the biggest items we’ve ever had will go to the highest bidder: a fully-stocked Tommy Bahama cooler, seriously high-end jewelry, unique private dinners, and so much more.

  • On May 24th, Secretary of State Jon Husted will be coming to Dayton to speak to REALTORS® about his ongoing endeavors and other issues that may be of interest to you. The event begins at 2pm at the Dayton Marriott and will be followed by a meet and greet with DARPAC Major Investors and Hall of Fame members. Cost to attend is $15.
