On January 26th, the Dayton Area Board of REALTORS® (DABR) announced the recipients of the 2011 Affiliate, Community Service, Rookie, Owner/Manager, and Salesperson of the Year Awards at the annual Sales Leaders Club Reception held at the REALTORS® Center. Their contributions to the real estate industry, the community, and the REALTOR® organization are greatly appreciated.
Affiliate of the Year - Pamela Waltrip, affiliated with CityWide Development Corp., has been a member of the DABR since 1998. Pamela has chaired the Equal Opportunity Committee and served on the Housing Opportunities and Partners in Education committees. Pam is also a member of the Dayton Chapter of the Women's Council of REALTORS® and received the DABR Equal Opportunity Committee's Marie Kindrick Award in 2006.
REALTOR® Community Service Award - Carli Amlin Dean, a sales associate with RE/MAX Alliance, has been dedicated to community involved for many years. A graduate from Otterbein College in 1999, Carli received her real estate license in 2000. She has served on the Tipp City Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Tipp Monroe Community Service Board of Trustees, including being president from 2008-2010 and currently serves on the DreamBuilders Board of Directors at Ginghamsburg Church. Carli's outreach to the community also extends to helping families in need. She has organized clothing/gift drives for a family of six that was devastated by a fire and another individual who had a severe motorcycle accident.
In additional to this award, the community organization of her choice will receive a contribution of $250 from the Dayton Area Board of REALTORS® in the name of the award recipient.
Rookie of the Year - Jeff Probst, a sales associate with Irongate, Inc. REALTORS®, has been licensed since 2009. A REALTOR for two years, Jeff has achieved more than $500,000 in sales between October 2010 and September 2011.
Owner/Manager of the Year - Mike Seagraves, Owner/Manager of RE/MAX Alliance Realty, has been a member of the REALTOR® organization since 2002 and has an active broker's license. Mike holds the CRS, ePRO and Accredited-REO designations. He has served on the DABR Board of Directors since 2010 and on the Grievance, Multiple Listing and Technology committees. Mike takes an active role in the community with his involvement with Children's Miracle Network, Woodland Meadows Architectural Committee and as an assistant coach with the Troy Christian Varsity Baseball Team.
Salesperson of the Year - Harry Vearn, a sales associate with Irongate, Inc. REALTORS®, has been a member of the REALTOR® organization since 1978. He currently holds the ABR designation. Harry has served on the DABR Board of Directors from 2005 – 2010, including one year as president in 2009. In addition to the DABR Board of Directors, Harry has chaired or served on many board committees including Executive, Finance, Legislative/RPAC, Nominating and Strategic Planning. At the Ohio Association of REALTORS®, Harry has been a director since 2003 and has served as a member of several committees including Legislative, Political Activity and RPAC Fundraising, Legal Issues Forum and Professional Standards Forum. He is actively involved in the community with Kettering Dor-Wood Optimists and Virginia Hollinger Memorial Tennis Club.
