On January 27th, the Dayton Area Board of REALTORS® (DABR) announced the recipients of the 2010 Affiliate, Community Service, Rookie, Owner/Manager, and Salesperson of the Year Awards at the annual Sales Leaders Club Reception held at the REALTORS® Center. Their contributions to the real estate industry, the community, and the REALTOR® organization are greatly appreciated.
Affiliate of the Year - Teresa Stewart, affiliated with Sterling Land Title Agency has been a member of the REALTOR® organization since 2004. Teresa has been involved with the Dayton Area Board of REALTORS® by serving on the Affiliate Institutions, Golf Task Force, Holiday Reception, Picnic Task Force and Special Events committees. In addition to her DABR involvement, Teresa is a member of the Dayton Chapter of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® and has received a Continuous Performance award from Dale Carnegie in 2010. An active participant in the community Teresa is involved with the Greater Dayton Real Estate Investors Association, New Day Church and First Baptist Church of Kettering.
REALTOR® Community Service Award - Candy Prystalowski, a Sales Associate with Irongate Inc., REALTORS®, has been dedicated to community organizations for 30 years. She has been actively involved with the Miami Valley Military Affairs Association (MVMAA) as a past president and currently serves as the Events Chair. This organization is comprised of CEOs, city managers, and other leaders in the Dayton Area, thirty chambers of commerce, as well as many other local and state officials. The MVMAA has honored Candy with the Ralph Winkler Award, given to someone who has given unselfishly of themselves in their support of the MVMAA and the military community. Candy also co-chaired the design, development, funding and dedication of the Valor Park Memorial dedicated to all Air Force Medal of Honor recipients. She has also facilitated the return of the POWs and Son Tay Raiders Reunion at WPAFB and arranged for community support to retire the Hanoi Taxi aircraft.
In additional to this award, the community organization of her choice will receive a contribution of $250 from the Dayton Area Board of REALTORS® in the name of the award recipient.
Rookie of the Year - Rhonda Chambal, a sales associate with Prudential One REALTORS®, has been licensed since 2009. A REALTOR® for two years, Rhonda has achieved more than $3.2 million in sales. In addition to the Rookie of the Year Award, Rhonda is a member of the 2010 Dayton Area Board of REALTORS® Sales Leaders Club, receiving the Award of Distinction.
Owner/Manager of the Year - Phil Sparks, Owner/Manager of Woodbourne Real Estate, has been a member of the REALTOR® organization since 1994. Phil has served on the Dayton Area Board of REALTORS® Building Advisory, Forms, Legislative/RPAC, MLS, Professional Development and Professional Standards committees and on the Board of Directors in 2006 and 2007. At the Ohio Association of REALTORS®, Phil was a director in 2006 and 2007 and actively participated on OAR’s Political Activity, Legislative and Professional Development committees. He is actively involved with the community through the Beavercreek Rotary, Friendship Village, Beavercreek Chamber of Commerce and the Beavercreek City Schools Financial Oversight Committee.
Salesperson of the Year - Sham Reddy, a sales associate with Real Living Realty Services, has been licensed since 1992. He currently holds the CRS and ABR designations and is a graduate of the Floyd Wickman’s Speakers and Master Sales academies. Sham served on the Dayton Area Board of REALTORS® Board of Directors from 2005 through 2010 and has chaired or served on many board committees, including Membership Services, Community Service, Equal Opportunity and Diversity, Housing Opportunities and Partners in Education. For the Ohio Association of REALTORS®, Sham has been a director since 2006. He is actively involved in the community with the Hindu Temple of Dayton, Greater Dayton Real Estate Investors Association, and is currently serving as president of the Ohio Real Estate Investors Association.
