Updates Only-CONTRACT TO PURCHASE-CFPB Compliant (Tue. 7 Jul, 2015 10:00 am - 11:00 am)

The Board's  Contract to Purchase form is changing in response to the upcoming changes implemented by the CFPB.  This class will be a summary and review of the changes necessitated by the federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau lending and closing regulations as well as important changes requested by members and suggested by legal counsel.  You should already be familiar with the current form and have previously taken the three hour New Regional Contract to Purchase class.

New Construction Basics 1: Land Development to Drywall (Thu. 9 Jul, 2015 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm)

CLASS HELD AT THE MODEL OF THE CURRENT CONSTRUCTION SITE in Springboro,  402 Brownstone Row- Across from Dorothy Lane Market.  The first of two construction classes- each 2 hours. Charlie is a local builder and a Real Estate Broker and Member of the Institute of Residential Marketing. He has built over 2000 homes, condominiums, and apartments in the greater Dayton and Cincinnati areas.  A Release of Liability Form will be provided and required for registration.

Fair Housing & Fair Lending (Tue. 14 Jul, 2015 6:00 pm - 9:10 pm)

Objectives:

  • Gain an understanding of the key laws that protect people seeking residential loans
  • Expand knowledge fair housing standards for lending
  • Improve skills of real estate agents so that they can serve the public and individuals better by providing insight into the fair lending process and help their clients avoid loans with predatory characteristics
  • Obtain current information on selling bank-owned properties, (REO's) without violating the Fair Housing Act.

CFPB Final Rule: What REALTORS® Must Know (Thu. 16 Jul, 2015 10:00 am - 11:00 am)

Presentation will cover: What is the CFPB? What is the purpose of the new rule and what does it cover? How will it be enforced?  Responsibilities under the new rule.  Receive an introduction of the two new forms: Loan Estimate Form & Closing Disclosure, tolerances and exceptions under the new rule, redefining: Loan Terms, Projected payments & Costs at closing, Closing Cost Detail, Calculating cash to close, Loan Calculations, Required contact Information, Expectations, conclusion and final considerations.considerations.

NEW REGIONAL CONTRACT TO PURCHASE- CFPB Edition (Thu. 23 Jul, 2015 9:00 am - 12:00 pm)

3 Hours of Continuing Education!

Presentation of the NEWEST  Contract to Purchase updated by a Joint Task Force of members of the Cincinnati and Dayton  Boards. This new form incorporates the best of the former forms and now includes the significant improvements and enhancements to acquire a true "meeting of the minds" and includes all aspects of today's transactions.  This form is significantly more consumer friendly and particularly  comprehensive.  This edition includes changes necessitated by the federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau lending and clsoing regulations as well as important changes requested by members and suggested by legal counsel.
