Fair Housing Advertising - Core Civil Rights (Tue. 13 Jan, 2015 1:00 pm - 4:10 pm)

Keeping up with Fair Housing Advertising is challenging and important. The course clarifies federal exemptions and the impact of local tradition on policy development. Course handouts include the most influential HUD memos and an up-to-date advertising word and phrase list delineating unacceptable phrases, cautionary phrases, and standard acceptable word usage.  The Housing for Older Persons Act, a large body of case law, executive orders and binding HUD memos about advertising has evolved, and you will review the most current case law and current initiatives.
